Kaçkar Mountains National Park

The national park, which is 16 kilometers away from the Çamlıhemşin District of Rize and a part of it extends to the provinces of Erzurum and Artvin, consists of the three large mountain masses of the Eastern Black Sea Mountains, Üçdoruk (Verçenik), Göller (Hunut) and Kaçkar Mountains. It was declared a national park in 1994.

Kız Castle

Pazar is built on a small peninsula to the west of the town centre. The castle, which is located on a rocky ground, has been cut off from the land. The neat stonework on its walls is striking. Although the exact date of construction is unknown, it is thought to have been used in the 13th or 14th centuries. Today it stands with a single watchtower.
